PM and Pipeline development for a company of forest industry, Mar. 2024 ~
The project has been officially started in the beginning of 2024, focusing on distribution and supplier chain management in the field of forest industry.
In Japan, there are piles of difficulties when we make a deal of wooden products, not only those of processed such as furniture but also timber and log.
This seems partially because of immature regulations, causing the absence of agreed standardization in measure, specification and traceability, etc.
Furthermore, because the industry has long been abandoned in the active use of digital technologies to improve business operations, the market mechanism can not properly work.
In the spirit of modern economics, normalizing the situation will guide a vendor in selling the products properly and efficiently, while it will improve the customer experience.
One of the top most important roles that I’ve been engaged is to build a data pipeline that accepts ill-mannered data to organize, complete and credit, otherwise the data is subject to getting old and the deterioration.
Within the other of more business-centered roles, I’ve attempted building a foundational bridge between managers and developers, since there seemed to be absent of management processes in general, especially an integrated way of inter-divisional communication in the rigorous manner, by which the quality of required specifications are to be ensured.
To accomplish this, we’ve followed a set of standardized rules such as SLCP-JCF (i.e. Japanese version of ISO/IEC/IEEE 12207) and Project Management Body of Knowledge; as the result, some improvement in the management processes have been observed.
